Urban Kru sit somewhere between the gym and the street. The designs pull from Thai iconography — Hanuman, the tiger, Sak Yant — but the execution is closer to streetwear than to traditional fight gear.

The shorts

Three cuts — Classic, Retro and Sak Yant. Proper Muay Thai shorts, made to train in rather than to look at, with the wide leg and short length the sport requires.

And never tumble dry them — heat destroys the waistband elastic, and that finishes the shorts long before the satin gives up.

The tees

Hanuman Drip and Tiger. Cotton, and cut for wearing rather than training in — if you want something to sweat through, look at the technical training tees instead.

Who it suits

People who want the iconography without the traditional Thai styling — and who would rather not turn up in the same Fairtex shorts as everyone else in the room.
