Muay Thai T-Shirts
Some of these are for training in. Some are for wearing to the pub afterwards. It is worth knowing which is which before you order.
Training tees
Light, breathable, and quick to dry. A good training tee should be forgotten about within five minutes of warming up.
Heavy cotton is the enemy here. It soaks, doubles in weight, sticks to your back and takes two days to dry properly — and in a hot gym you will feel every gram of it. Look for lightweight cotton blends or technical fabrics.
Everything else
Brand tees, gym tees, and graphic designs from Fairtex, Twins Special, Primo, Fumetsu and our own Muay Thailand range. Heavier cotton, better print quality, and built to be worn rather than sweated through.
Sizing — read this
Thai brands cut smaller than UK sizing. A Thai large is closer to a UK medium, and this catches people out constantly.
Fairtex, Twins and Top King all manufacture in Thailand and size accordingly. Fumetsu is a British brand and cuts to UK sizing. Do not assume your size carries across the two — check the measurements on the product page.
If you are between sizes, size up. A training tee that is slightly loose is fine; one that is slightly tight is unwearable once you sweat in it.
Care
Wash cool and hang to dry. Printed graphics crack in a tumble dryer, and technical fabrics lose their wicking properties on a hot wash — which is the entire reason you bought them.
