PRYDE
PRYDE is the sister brand of Petchyindee Academy — one of the most successful gyms in Thailand, and the camp behind Petchmorakot, Capitan and Petchdam.
That matters more than the usual brand-heritage line, because the gear is designed and tested by people who are in the gym every day with fighters at the very top of the sport. The feedback loop is short.
The shorts
This is where PRYDE really live, and the reason most people find them.
Bold, high-contrast colour blocking and a design language that owes nothing to traditional Thai motifs — leopard prints, zebra, No Fear, Unbreakable. You will not be wearing the same shorts as everyone else in the room.
New designs come out regularly and they do not hang around. Sized on your waist measurement, not your clothing size — check our Muay Thai shorts size guide. And never tumble dry them; heat destroys the waistband elastic.
The gloves
A fairly compact fit, similar in shape to Fairtex, with good wrist support. They suit pad work and lighter sparring particularly well.
If you already train in Fairtex and get on with them, PRYDE will feel familiar. If you find Fairtex tight across the knuckles, you will probably find PRYDE tight too — Twins are the roomier option.
16oz for sparring, 12oz for bags and pads. What you use them for matters more than your body weight.
The jerseys
The Leopard Jerseys and sleeveless tees are the off-mat half of the range, in the same bold register as the shorts. Light enough to train in, and cut to be worn afterwards.
A young brand that earned it
PRYDE have not been around for fifty years like Fairtex or Twins. But the build quality genuinely rivals the old names — which is not something you could have said about most new entrants five years ago.
Being attached to a working fight camp is the reason why.
