Description
Open-palm MMA sparring gloves. The fingers stay free for gripping, framing and defending takedowns, with layered padding across the knuckle for striking.
These are sparring gloves, not competition gloves. Competition MMA gloves are 4oz and offer close to nothing; these carry meaningfully more knuckle padding, which is what you want if you train in them week in and week out.
They are not a substitute for Muay Thai sparring gloves. There is far less foam over the knuckle than in a 16oz glove. If you are doing stand-up sparring, wear 16oz.
Fit should be snug — there is no wrap underneath to take up slack, and a loose MMA glove rotates the moment you post or grip.
