Muay Thai Clothing
What you train in matters less than what you train in it for — but anyone who has done a session in a heavy cotton t-shirt knows the difference a decent one makes by round four.
Muay Thai is hot, sweaty work. The clothing that survives it is light, breathes, and does not cling.
What we stock
- T-shirts — training and off the mat. Brand tees, gym tees, and designs from Fairtex, Twins, Primo and our own range.
- Tank tops — the traditional Muay Thai training top. Maximum airflow, no sleeves to soak.
- Sports bras — proper support for striking and clinch work, not repurposed gym wear.
Looking for Muay Thai shorts? They have their own collection — and their own sizing rules, which are worth reading before you order.
Fabric
For training, look for lightweight cotton blends or technical synthetics that wick sweat rather than absorb it. Heavy cotton is fine for wearing around; it is miserable to train in, because it soaks, doubles in weight and sticks to you.
For anything worn under gear — under a belly pad, under a rash guard — synthetic is the only sensible answer.
Sizing
Most Thai brands cut smaller than UK sizing. A Thai large is not a UK large. Check the measurements on the individual product rather than ordering the size you usually wear, particularly with brands manufactured in Thailand.
If you are between sizes and unsure, message us — we would rather tell you than process a return.
FAQS
What should I wear to a Muay Thai class?
For both men and women, this usually means a pair of Muay Thai shorts and a dry-fit or lightweight cotton t-shirt/tank top (or no shirt at all). Women may also wear a sports bra underneath their top.
Some people like to wear compression shorts underneath their Muay Thai shorts for extra support. They also help counter the shortness of some short designs.

What are the best Muay Thai clothing brands?
Yet some, like PRYDE, Primo Fightwear and even ourselves, create some clothing designed for wear outside the gym. This includes t-shirts, hoodies and short-sleeved shirts.
What are the best Muay Thai shirts?
Dry-fit shirts and tank tops are a great choice for training, especially in hot conditions. Heavyweight cotton t-shirts are best to showcase your love of the sport outside the gym.
